I bought three of these to control my outdoor holiday lights and they are fabulous. Normally I'm trudging through the snow to turn them on and off, this year I watched them turn on and off from the comfort of being inside. Fantastic.

I bought this thinking that it would be good for outdoor holiday lighting. It is often inconsistant using the different timers. I have seen it go on when it is dark enough, but then sometimes goes out before the set timer (goes off after 4 hours instead of 6, or 6 hours instead of 8). Don't waste your money on this, just get a regular mechanical timer.

I've used this timer for holiday lights for over five years. It works very well in our cold, snowy MN winters.

Haven't used this yet, but it was inexpensive and I thought I would eventually have a use for it. Looks to be a good unit. No, it's not from the "Coleman" company that most people know. It's made in China (but then what isn't, anymore?)
