I've used this set for 2 years. Easy to clean, fairly durable - one plate has chipped and 2 glasses have broken.
The nasty surprise? One glass arrived with an unfinished very sharp area on the rim about 3/4ths of an inch wide. That went into the trash; it wasn't worth the effort to return it.

I purchased two of these sets to have a nice supply of dinnerware for everyday use. I love the light weight, durability, and space saving design of these plates and bowls. I will never go back to stoneware!

This comment is not about the quality of Corelle because I absolutely love the Corelle line.

I just wanted to comment that my purchase was for a brand new Amazon.com Corelle Winter White set of dishes. When I opened the shipping box I couldn't help but notice that the Corelle box had been previously opened and the merchandise had been redistributed in the box. Even the Corelle box itself had been weirdly re-taped. Why would Amazon.com send me this kind of merchandise. This was not purchased from an Amazon third party marketplace vendor. This was purchased from Amazon.com

What if this was supposed to be a gift? How embarassing would that be. I'd have to run out and re-purchase another set.

So, for the record, I love Corelle. It's just the new Amazon.com used merchandise situation that I am not thrilled with.

These dishes, while not impressive, are exactly what they are meant to be, functional, attractive (enough), and cheap. As a single guy in a small apt they ended u being exactly what I needed, no more, no less.

I am very satisfied with my purchase, it was cheap, it's not plastic, the bowls have the right size for me and the design is very simple and modern. I received everything in a good shape (even the glasses!). I think I put them once or twice in the dishwasher and I had no problem but I'm usually washing everything by hand so don't take my word on that. That's very pleasant to have non plastic dish. So far so good! ( It's been 5 or 6 weeks now I've been using them)
