I'm curious as to why this screen protector is $28? There are excellent ones out there for around $5 that do the exact same thing. What a joke.
an absolute must have for the player December 27, 2008 J. Strickland
We have four Zen players in our family, and I have noticed that this sheild keeps scrateches off the screen. It is a lot cheaper and easier to replace this sheild than the player's screen. It is a bit of a pain getting it on without any bubbles, but it works a lot better if the screen starts out perfectly clean with no fingerprints or dust. If there is anything on the screen at all you will get a bubble. Luckily, the small ones doen;t show up when the player is on.
No luck with this product December 20, 2008 SeekingJC (Yukon, OK)
I personally thought the instructions were very lame. The glue that is used on the removable tabs would not come off even using alcohol. I was afraid I would destroy the Zen trying to clean the glue off. After trying with two out of the three protectors I gave up. I would not waste money on this item.
Excellent product December 10, 2008 S. Block (Ft. Lauderdale, FL USA)
Pros: inexpensive; improves vision of the screen (no glare); protects the screen. [My Zen came with a screen protector, but for some reason, I thought it was for shipping purposes only and removed it!] Cons: for me, the installation instructions were confusing; I had to go back to this page and read goatswood's installation tips Many thanks to other reviewers and their tips. When I understood what I was holding - the various layers - I got it. No bubbles, no problems. Buy this for your Zen. With no glare, thanks to this protector, you can even see things on the Zen screen you never noticed before.
Do you need to protect your Zen's screen December 6, 2008 M. P. Schwartz (Weston, FL)
I feel good about the screen protector. It goes on with ease and once installed, is not visible. If the plastic screen ever needs replacement, you just peel and replace. That's a better choice than needing a new unit.
