This "wand" is a blow-mold plastic stick with markings on it that don't seem to correlate to anything in the books or movie. It's poorly painted and by the time my daughter finished opening the package that the "new" wand came in, some of the paint had worn off. Rather than buy this piece of junk, it might be better to give your kid any handheld item (that is safe) and let them use their imagination, because whatever they choose will be just as much a wand-like item as the glorified, sealed plastic straw that is this item.
crap December 3, 2007 fjorner (Baton Rouge, LA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A piece of crap. Cheap plastic, only partially painted in a light green, not tan. hollow and light. Came in cheap, beat-up packaging. Last plastic joint seams on either side, an unfinished paint job really spoil the imagination with this toy. There are better wands out there, I hope.
Fun, but cheap November 22, 2007 Rock Wizard (Puget Sound, WA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you have a child who loves the Potter stories, this is a fun toy. But, it is a hollow plastic wand. Nothing special. We paid $5 for the wand and $10 for shipping. Grrrrrr.
poor November 10, 2007 mom of 3
Almost all the paint came off with in a week. Not a good thing considering all the recalled toys because of lead paint. Other wise has been good.
Invest more money and get a real looking wand from Warner Brothers. November 5, 2007 M. L. Brennan 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This wand is very "toy-like". It is over-sized and very light. It is cheaply painted and chips at the slightest touch. Invest a little more money and enjoy and authentic looking wand in the box from Warner Brothers. I purchased the "Harry" wand from them and the difference is tremendous. The packaging alone enhances the experience of owning a Harry Potter wand.
