The pump is not the lightest on the market compared even to MSR's original pump model which has worked fine for me the past six years. It also claims to have "superior flame control" which may only be true if you using it with the SimmerLite. I used it with a WhisperLite Internationale and it had absolutely no control other than full blast, or off. Save your money if you're just trying to update your stove.

I have a 15 year old wisperlite and a tank of 2 yr old gas. After a few moves my pump had disappeared so I bought this one. It works like a champ with better flame/heat control than the original one. A good buy better than a entirely new stove.
