This medication was prescribed to me in combination with corticosteroid nasal spray. Loratadine messed up my brain! During previous 5 days that I took it, it made me weirdly depressed, kind of confused and generally caused weird mental state that I don't even know how to explain... I never felt like that in my entire life. Above all of that it also gave me severe insomnia. I literally didn't sleep during those 5 days! At the same time it didn't help much with my rhinitis. I am done with it! I stopped taking it today and I pray that I will finally get some sleep tonight. Be very careful with this medication guys!
Hi someone who suffered from mental health problems in the past this.medication completely brought me to my knees just hours after taking it!!!! My routine is the same everyday the ine time I take this medication I had to leave town early as I could not controll my depressive thoughts!!! Also took at 10M and was able to get a maximum of 4 hours sleep, night sweats, insomnia, anxiety worst side effects I have ever experienced. Thort I was dying before bed my heart was pounding like it has never done beofre the experienced has shook me up a little please never take this medicine

Only moderately alleviated my allergies, but at the expense of sending me into a depressive spiral. While under its effects I find myself prone to negative thoughts and suicidal ideation. Do not take claritin.
After experiencing many , many months of hip pain and heel pain , I decided to stop taking Claritin. I was taking it for post nasal drip and occasional bronchitis from seasonal allergies. My symptoms slowly disappeared and I am now pain free. I have told my doctors about how much I felt the Claritin was causing me so much pain , but they explain to me that it is not a normal adverse side effect from Claritin. I can pretty much swear that it was causing muscle spasms and tightening of my muscles in my hip down to my feet.
I took Claritan 24 hour in the evening before bed. At approximately 6:15 am I had a grand mal seizure. I can't contribute it to anything other than the Claritan.

Took 1 tablet at night. In the morning had horrible headache and my blood pressure was extreamly high! What a awful side effect! Will have to three whole bottle into the garbage.

My son had been taking Loratadine 10mg twice a day for years. It help somewhat with his rhinitis, however, it made him extremely sick for years and we had no idea it was the loratadine. He continually complained about tummy aches, motion sickness and anxiety. Until years later we came across sweet caring million dollar worth school nurse that asked me to look into his meds. I had him stop the loratadine completely and a few days later my son was feeling great!!! No more anxiety, tummy aches, motion sickness/vertigo, vomiting and suffering!!!! God bless that nurse. I can’t believe how much my son suffered for years because of this medication.
I suffered so bad that I would lose my hearing. Nothing got rid of my sinus issues until a friend recommended this drug. Zero side effects on me and within a week my hearing started coming back. Within a month of daily dosing I was back to normal. I can hear, breathe and feel great! Does not make me sleepy or wired.
It works for me when i have itching in different parts of my body. I take one, at any time of the day, it reduces the effect of itching in my head, or eyes, or other parts of skin to about 80% low, and so it becomes bearable. I have been using loradatine for 10 years now.

If I started again the symptoms would go away in about 2 weeks. I do not wish to take this drug off and on . I want to stop once symptoms are gone . Presently, I am trying not to go back on the drug just because I do not care for drugs. I have been off the drug for two weeks and the only sympton that has returned is a tickle in the back of my throat and a runny nose. It is spring now so I am sure some symptoms will occur!
It cleared my sinus' but I had a sleepless night.
I took this medicine for a week. And I broke in rash all over my neck.Also I was very tired and it made my blood vessels in eyes bust. It made me have a bad attitude. Please watch out for this medicine I will never take it again.
