I have been taking 50mg daily and most recently every other day for approx 13 hrs to treat generalised mood disorder (not diagnosed but feel I have a milder form of bipolar). I have tried to come off it a few times but I always come back to it as it really works well to keep me stable and a much happier person to he around. A positive experience.

Ratedfor Anxiety

All I can say is there is hope! I have struggled with anxiety for many years and was always able to manage it with ad-hoc use of propranolol. However my anxiety has gotten worse the last two years due to life stresses and I hit a brick wall; physically, mentally, emotionally. I was prescribed Sertraline 50mg and for the first 3 weeks I wanted to give up. I became more anxious, terrible tremors in my legs, restlessness, agitation and awful nausea. (I was given anti-sickness tablets to help until the side effect wore off). However, with patience and perseverance Sertraline has enabled me to function again. I have always been reluctant to take anti-depressants but I have no doubt Sertraline has helped me significantly. It has helped with those fears/intrusive thoughts/anxieties and I am now able to switch off from those thoughts; something I was unable to do. It has enabled me to go back to work with confidence and I now worry far less. This drug may not be for everyone but Im glad I stuck with it and intend to use it long-term. For me, its all about prayer & Sertraline!

It's been 5 years and more to go with this drug. It's really working. I completed my studies and working in a financial institution and everything is going good. I highly recommend this.

At first, sertraline was a miracle drug for me. It stomped out my intrusive thoughts after just three days, and although I was jumpy for weeks later, I felt well enough to go about my everyday business. But gradually over the course of 2 years, I became hypersensitive to the sertraline and had daily, severe withdrawal symptoms while still taking my full dose. I could barely leave the house. I have switched to fluoxetine as it has a longer half-life. But, I’d like to highlight that sertraline works well for many people I know personally, and I have a long and detailed track record of having unusual reactions to various kinds of medication.

It’s hellish that’s for sure. I read all these reviews and some positive ones finally pushed me to start on half 12.5mg and ease my way up right? No the first day I had the most scariest panic attack I’ve ever felt in my life. It was an hour and a half just RIDING. Then my mind felt empty I’m like is this it?? Is this the cure! Noo my anxiety came shooting right back up..I’m 106 pounds age 28 and I hate medicine in general and I don’t want to wait for things to get better I don’t. I don’t want to lose more weight. I have a headache and I feel like I’m not even in my own body.. I really won’t be taking this again.. this is awful. I don’t have nausea or diarrhea I feel hungry but so so anxious.. this isn’t for the weak. I won’t be continuing with this.

I started on 25mg if Sertraline a year ago and have worked up to 150mg. I take it along with Aripiprizole. I’m a 17 year old female with depression and anxiety. At first this drug makes me feel a little bit worse the first 2 weeks of a new dose and I get heart palpitations. However, after the first two weeks I feel way better and I can’t cry!! My panicked attacks happen less often and are less severe. My depression has also eased off quite significantly. I would highly recommend.

我开始这8天前,它给了我Diarreah for the first 2 day's only, and had no other side effects, I definitely feel better taking 50mg a day, my mind used to wonder on a daily basis for year's, after seeing my mum pass away right infront of me 3 year's ago, it had a huge impact on me and my way of thinking, I've had problems with family aswell which didn't help, and after loosing my beloved dog 3 months ago it very nearly tipped me over the edge so to speak, and after counseling aswell as taking these tablets my mind is in a much better place.

I had insomnia, anxiety and depression. I found the first 6 weeks were extremely difficult as I had different side effects bother me, first nausea, then brain fog , then tiredness. Now that I’m 3 months in, the side effects are all gone and it’s truly helping with my insomnia, anxiety and depression. Hang in there and give it some time kick in if you can

I have been on 25mg of Sertraline for a little over a month now. While it has not completely gotten rid of my anxiety it has made it way more manageable, and I wish I had started sooner. The first few days were rough with extreme fatigue, and what I felt to be very few emotions or thoughts, this went away around day 6-7. I still don't have quite the normal appetite I did before starting, otherwise those were my only side effects. I was very scared to take medication for my anxiety, because of bad side effects and reviews I have read, but so far this has been working for me.

I have been suffering with depression and anxiety for 8 years now. No therapy or treatment has made a major difference. I started with 50mg of Sertaline a day for 2 weeks and have been on 100mg since (about 6 months now). I have experienced some side effects such as insomnia, loss of apetite for the first few weeks, but despite that I could already feel a great relief. I have completely stopped having my usual mental breakdows that would otherwise occur almost daily. My anxiety has eased loads, I feel confident talking to people again. I am still depressed but at least not that suicidal anymore and most importantly not stuck in the neverending cycle of crying every day out of despair.

Ratedfor Anxiety

I’ve been on Sertraline on and off for years. If I stop taking it, after about 2-3 months I get horrible bouts of alternating anxiety and depression. I’ve been affected since I was in my teens and and hormones haven’t helped. After trying a few other things that didn’t agree with me I took this and I started to feel better quite quickly. I’ve just read here that someone said jaw clenching is a side effect which happens to me, sometimes I get headaches but I put that down to stress. I can’t really say I’ve had any other major side effects and it stops me from feeling like I’m going mad with anxiety so overall it’s been positive for me.

Promised to do a review after taking this since I read so many. I was incredibly scared to start sertraline after reading countless reviews about the permanent side effects (especially sexual), but I am so glad I went with it anyways. 1 month into taking it regularly, and the worst side effect I got were some stomach cramps in the first 2 days. Mood is lifted, less hopelessness, no loss of libido.

Stuck with 50mg for 3 days only. On day 1 experienced too many negative side effects. First diarrhea and nausea which lasted days after stopping. Then had loss of appetite and complete lack of energy, sleeping 18 hours a day. Worst of all I experienced anxiety and panic attacks, much worse than before taking the medication. Going outside to complete the simplest task became a major ordeal. I couldn't go past day 3 , side effects lasted for days after, never again.

I have had issues with anxiety for multiple years after my children. It was bothersome but bouts usually passed. During the pandemic things got to the point where it was interfering with my ability to function. I have been taking 25 mg sertraline for 4 weeks. The first 2.5 weeks were awful. Intensified anxiety to the point of wanting to stop taking the meds, diarrhea, insomnia, jitters, indigestion and headaches. Most symptoms settled after 2 weeks and headaches stopped after 3. Overall I’m feeling a lot better. I’m also working with a therapist with a goal of coming off the meds after 6months to a year. If that works awesome, but if I need the meds so be it. I still clench my jaw a lot which I’ve heard can be a side effect.

I am a 22 year old male who is currently on 150mg. I was prescribed Zoloft for SAD. My main cause of anxiety was going out to eat. I had always enjoyed going out before, but suddenly it was a cause of great anxiety. I would avoid going out if possible and going out was a crippling experience. I started taking 50mg of Zoloft, I did not feel it working so I upped it to 100mg 6 weeks later than eventually up to 150mg after 2 1/2 after starting. At 150mg and about 3 months after I started taking it my anxiety melted away. It really did give me my life back. I’m back to my old self. The first two-three weeks I took it I did feel more anxious and sick but just keep with it. Don’t be afraid to up the dosage of it isn’t work well enough for you. I suggest upping it by 25mg so that you don’t get sick when you start taking more.

我是规定左洛复迦得和多动症。我在ly able to take it for two days. First night, 50mg as directed by my doctor. Vomiting, diarrhea, extreme nausea, insomnia, it was literal hell. Next night, I was stupid and decided to give it another shot and just take a half dose of 25mg to maybe see if that would help my other side effects. Wrong. I spent the night with more vomiting, more diarrhea, extreme discomfort / nausea, except this time I was having intrusive thoughts, and had a literal breakdown at 2am. I couldn’t control my own thoughts. I’ve heard amazing things about this medication, but it was definitely not for me.

Sertraline was the second antidepressant I tried. I have both severe anxiety and depression which meant that after being on it for half a year with no effects whatsoever, I eventually made my way up to 150mg with still no effects. I'd say that this would likely be effective in mild cases but anything moderate to severe it won't work at all. The usual symptoms such as headaches that come with antidepressants were also present, but manageable. It's definitely the one that has been the most tolerable in terms of side effects for me.
