What is the most important information I should know aboutAccuhist PDX Drops (Obsolete)(Oral)?

You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to it brompheniramine, dextromethorphan, or pseudoephedrine, or if you have:

  • severe high blood pressure; or
  • severe coronary artery disease (clogged arteries).

Do not use brompheniramine, dextromethorphan, and pseudoephedrine if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days.A dangerous drug interaction could occur. MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue injection, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine.

Tell your doctor if you have ever had:

  • asthma or COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease);
  • a cough with mucus, or a cough caused by smoking, asthma, or emphysema;
  • a blockage in your digestive tract (stomach or intestines);
  • a bladder obstruction or other urination problems;
  • high blood pressure, heart disease;
  • glaucoma;
  • diabetes; or
  • overactive thyroid.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant.

Do not breastfeed.

  • a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out;
  • fast or pounding heartbeats;
  • pale skin, weakness, easy bruising or bleeding, fever, chills, body aches; or
  • severe headache, blurred vision, pounding in your neck or ears.

Common side effects may include:

  • dizziness, drowsiness;
  • coughing up thick mucus;
  • feeling restless or excited (especially in children); or
  • dry mouth, nose, or throat.

This medicine is used when needed. If you are on a dosing schedule, skip any missed dose.Do notuse two doses at one time.

Do not take more than 6 doses in 24 hours.
