You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to sulfa drugs or if you have kidney disease.

Side Effects

Get emergency medical help if you havesigns of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have:
- new or worsening skin rash;
- joint pain;
- fever; or
- mouth sores.
Common side effects may include:
- redness, warmth, swelling, itching, stinging, burning, or irritation of treated skin.

What drugs and food should I avoid while takingNovacet(Topical)?
Avoid getting this medication in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If this does happen, rinse with water. Do not use on sunburned, windburned, dry, chapped, irritated, or broken skin.
Avoid using other medications on the areas you treat with sulfacetamide sodium and sulfur topical unless your doctor tells you to.

How to takeNovacet(Topical)?
UseNovacet(Topical)exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.

Wash your hands before and after applying this medication.
Do not cover the treated skin area unless your doctor has told you to.
Use sulfacetamide sodium and sulfur topical regularly to get the most benefit. Get your prescription refilled before you run out of medicine completely.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Use the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose.Do notuse extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
