Using aspirin in a child or teenager with flu symptoms or chickenpox can causea serious or fatal condition called Reye's syndrome.

You should not use aspirin if you are allergic to it, or if you have:

• a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia; or

Tell your doctor if you have ever had:

• asthma or seasonal allergies;
• stomach ulcers;
• liver disease;
• kidney disease;
• a bleeding or blood clotting disorder;
• gout; or
• heart disease, high blood pressure, or congestive heart failure.
