I received a phone call from my neurologist last week, asking me if I’d like to take part in a trial run of a pilot program they have assembled for the growing number of people living with MS within their area. It’s a weeklong residential program (as in stay in the hospital), encompassing a multidisciplinary approach to rehab.

Six people living with MS are scheduled for the test week, and I am honored to be in this cadre.

I began doing the sums as to how much a program of intense rehabilitation like this would cost, and I stopped as I passed into five figures.
