Using this with a 320GB western digial passport essential. The sleeve actually has two pockets, which are visible once you flip the top open. I use the larger pocket for the drive and small one for the usb cable. The drive fits well...not 100% snug but I'm not worried about it. I wouldn't suspect it save the drive from a hard enough hit or a high enough fall, but it definitely will help protect it from lighter hits and drops. The blue is really nice in person.
Great Sleeve - Snug Fit December 11, 2008 Daniel G. Lebryk
Wish portable drives came with cases this nice. At one time Western Digital drives had a zippered neoprene like case, no more. Just about every portable drive I have fits, an old 100Gb Seagate, the WD portables (including a fat old 40Gb), and the SimpleTechs (Pininfarin design) up to 500Gb espresso model. The thing that is not apparent from the pictures, the top is not a flap, but a sort of hood that you have to roll back off the cover. So it's a lot like a hooded sweatshirt. The main compartment is divided into two sections - one for the drive the second for cables. Drives fit in, and most will be pretty snug inside this pouch. You then slip the cable behind the drive. There's exactly enough padding to protect your drive, without being padded. I also have a zippered Case Logic hard case and kind of hate it. It's just too darn big. You bought a portable drive, keep the portability with a nice form fitting pouch like this one.
Good fit for the Iomega 33745 hard drive November 24, 2008 ubat (Sao Paulo, Brazil) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I knew the Iomega 33745 250GB portable hard drive didn't come with a protective case, so I got this one to do the job. The Iomega drive fits well in it -- not snug, not tight -- and this neoprene case seems to be well padded and built. It can be a little awkward to place and remove the HD, because the flap has to be bent outward to allow the HD in, but that is fine. There is a full length inside pocket on the back of the case, and I'm not sure what could be put in there because it would be so tough to get it out afterward! But this makes for a double layer of neoprene, which I'm quite happy with.
Portability and value October 12, 2008 M. Bauer (NJ, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Recently I complemented my purchase of an external hard drive with one of these cases. It was a perfect fit, with its side pocket for the USB cable a wonderful convenience. The product is intuitive with its flip-up design, preventing it from being opened accidentally while in transit. The material is wonderfully soft inside and out, so as to prevent wear and tear. In short, a good product well worth the price. Because it doesn't matter how often you travel, it just has to get there in one piece.
Perfect little case August 29, 2008 S. Fountain (Kennesaw, GA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this case. It is compact and nicely cushioned. The divider keeps the cords from scratching the HD or whatever else you put in it.
