I heard negative things about this toy but since my children BEGGED for it Santa brought it anyway. Well, it is so much fun and I am on my third year. Every year Santa brings refill sugar. You must take good care of it and wash and dry it completely!!!!! Also, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS to get the perfect cotton candy cone.

You have to pour the sugar in very very slowly. It was very time consuming and got thrown into the back of the closet never to be played with again.

This product is a parents worst nightmare. Its messy smells terrible and broke on the first use.Its best that you get your cotton candy fix at the circus.
Very Good! July 2, 2007 Laurie from Cleveland
Worked perfectly! We let the machine warm up about 15 minutes because of the other reviews. Threw in some sugar and had cotton candy! It worked exactly as it should have. We got enough cotton candy (fist sized ball for each child) before it got too warm that we had to turn it off. The kids loved it and it was very easy. If you are having any problems there is good information on how to correct them in the instructions. I'm not sure why so many people had problems.
Not perfect, but... January 6, 2007 erin4jc 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My husband got this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter for Christmas, and while it's not perfect, we have had a lot of fun with it so far! Sure, it takes 10 minutes to heat up, but that's not a big deal. It doesn't make much at a time, but we just keep adding sugar every minute or so and it makes as much as we want! It might not be as fun for an older child, but for a toddler, she LOVES it! She can't eat it any faster than it comes out anyway...and it's a great reward for her! We used it today as her reward for taking a nap, and she was so thrilled!
