Anyone who is or has a Peanut Butter and Jelly fanatic in their home has heard horror stories about PB and J cross contamination. Thats right, peanut butter in the jelly jar or vice versa. Finally a solution other than using two knives: a PB and J spreader. One end for the jelly, the other for the peanut butter. The silicone spreaders mean that even the stickiest of spreads won't stick, and if you don't have peanut butter and jelly fanatics on your hands, maybe there's a CC and J bagel nut out there who may find solace with this tool (that's cream cheese and jam for those not in the know).

I bought this PB&J spreader as a stocking stuffer, it's a fun little tool.
Obviously, it is quite simple to make PB&J's without this spreader but it's one less utensil to wash at our dishwasher-LESS apartment.

Did I NEED this? No. Do I LOVE it? Yes! It works really well, spreads better than a regular knife, and it is fun to use. I used to use at least two knives and a spoon. I prefer this tool.

This peanut and jelly spreader is the greatest.. So easy to use, and no messy fingers when getting to the bottom of large jars... It is even color coated...a must have....

I thought this was such a great idea so I wouldn't get the peanutbutter in the jelly jar but when you flip it around to use the jelly side, the PB hits you in the sleeve. It's also a bit larger than it needs to be. If they cut the size in 1/2 I think it would be a better tool. Personally I would recommend you use a regular knife, lick the PB off and stick it in the jelly jar :-)

In our family we give a "mystery" kitchen item each year. Everyone tries to guess what the item is used for. This spreader really had the group stumped, someone finally came up with it on the third day, with some minor hints. Since then my 11 year old has been using it to make sandwiches. She says it works great, but you need to spread the peanut butter first. This really is a gift for some one who has everything.
