I have tried 2 different Targus cooling pads, and this one is BY FAR theeeeeee VERY BEST! I have a 17" laptop that I now can leave on from 6:00am to 10:00pm, and it stays COLD! It is also VERY THIN and VERY LIGHT. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT and I'M GIVING IT AS GIFTS FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Amazon should really quit selling this piece of cr*p. The fans only work sometimes. I've had my laptop overheat while using it. Buy something else. Don't spend it on this!

It does what it's meant to do. and yes it looks like it was made from cheap plastic but for me its holding up, my laptop used to get hot and now it stays at a cool temperature all the time, this pad doesn't lower the computers temperature but just works well enough for the computer not to get hot which is good. for the price it was well worth it. I've had it for more than a month and it doesn't look like its going anywhere soon. But if you treat it like garbage and drop it believe me it will break. treat it well and it will work for you for a long while. 4 stars

This is a true waste of money. There are three small fans that run off the power from your laptop and the air circulation is barely felt. The body is simply two pieces of cheap plastic stuck together. If you sat on it, it would crack in two. It is flat and does not have any lever device to place your laptop at an angle. It is just a terrible disappointment. There are better devices out there. I'd recommend the "Xpad (Non-slip Laptop Cooler & Heatshield)" (which uses no fans) or the "Cooler Master NotePal Widescreen Notebook Cooler ( R9-NBC-AWAK )", which is a little more expensive, but more efficient.

I ordered two of them and both are performing as stated by company. Looks a little flimsy in construction..but works great. Very quiet. Had to check to see if was still working. It has helped my laptop stay cool as I usually keep it on for at least 8hrs. They say heat will kill a laptop quickly. Good investiment so far. I liked the free shipping they offered.
