This is a fun wand for kids, it makes noise and lights up with movement. My son has been casting spells for weeks, waiting for halloween. My only complaints are that the wand is quite thick; it's more like a branch than a stick! And there is no on/off switch. You have to unscrew the battery case and remove the batteries if the sounds drive you crazy! But it seems sturdy and my son loves it.
Cute toy, fun sounds! March 30, 2008 Sue S. Hixson (Hotlanta) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The wand with sound and light isn't what I was expecting, but we have enjoyed it. I knew it lit up and was expecting it to be more of a flashlight, but it actually lights when you "cast spells" with it. The action of your arm movement causes it to light and make "magical" sounds. It has 3 different sounds that it makes. It has been fun-I'm as big a kid when it comes to stuff like this as my children are!

This was a Christmas present and it was very well received. I researched other ones and this one had the best features.
A Wizard Must-Have! January 12, 2008 Susan Maskell Alexander 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We're die-hard Harry Potter fans and we LOVE this wand. With sounds and a lighted end that emulate the films, both my little wizards (ages 5 & 8) have had hours of fun casting spells galore. It's the closest thing to a "real" Harry Potter wand I've found - and I've searched everywhere. Durable and affordable, too.

My son was very happy with it. It has 3 different sounds and light. The only inconvinient is that it has not an on and off button, so it is always on.
