Album Description Finally there is a professional recording of classic snare drum solos! OPEN-CLOSE-OPEN is an invaluable resource tool for percussion teachers, band directors, and students. Twenty great solos, masterfully performed on a Gladstone snare drum, are conveniently presented in chronological order. The first six contest solos also include traditional fife and bass drum accompaniments. Complete with historical notes, this CD is a must for every snare drum enthusiast.

| Customer Reviews A+ Snare Drum Work!!! May 25, 2001 Jim Johnston (Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a fantastic album. It's an absolute must for any student or enthusiast of drumming. The snare drum solos on this recording are executed flawlessly and serve as an excellent study reference filling a real void. Mr. Gauthreaux has obviously spent a lot of time working on his craft. There are some wonderful classics performed, including 'Three Camps', 'Downfall of Paris', and my favourite 'Grandfather's Clock'. The sound of the recording is also excellent and very "true" to the instruments used (love that Gladstone Snare). It's about time somebody recorded these solos - great job!!!!
