Customer Reviews Works for large laptops May 8, 2008 author (USA)
I bought this backpack for my 17" screen Dell Precision. I use it mainly for air travel, but have worn it on business trips to Manhattan and it makes navigating the subways a breeze. The pack is well padded and has ample compartments for the power supply, portfolio, digital camera, cell phone, and accessories. I don't carry a printer, although there would be plenty of room for one. There is a handy pocket for my iPod with an opening in the top of the backpack for the headphone cord. The adjustable padded shoulder straps makes this pack very comfortable to wear even when fully loaded. On my last trip my backpack weighed 32 lbs. with laptop & podcasting equipment, but it was comfortable to wear through the airport and easy to stow in the overhead bin on the airplane. I NEVER leave my laptop in the hotel room, so the backpack is very handy for daily travel as well. The only thing missing is a place for an identity tag, I clipped one on the strap, but it would be nice to have one built in (not that it leaves my side very often). I recommend this to any business professional who travels often by air and uses public ground transportation.
Great notebook backpack, used it for last 2 years! April 28, 2008 Raag Maalkauns (USA)
I got this bag as a gift from my cousin for my very heavy, old laptop that I had with me, 2 yrs ago. I ride my bicycle to and fro my work-place, and hence wanted a sturdy bag that could hangle the weight of my laptop and the bumps that I speed through. This bag took it all. Once or twice the bag hit the ground very hard, but the contents were good shape. Now I have a much smaller laptop, but it still fits nicely in the well-padded laptop compartment. It's been two years, and I think I will end up getting bored of this bag. It is as good as new even now, and looks like it wants to last for many more years. PROS: Very secure, thick padding for laptop in all directions. The middle compartment is large enough to hold books, lunch-box, mp3 players and what-nots. Side pockets are big. the straps are thick and very tough. The very bottom (base) has hard rubber layer, so even if you keep the bag standing (yes, it balances pretty well on its base) on wet/dirty/muddy floor in subway/bus, the material wont absorb anything. The zips are very good.. no probs in 2 years. to sum it all, it is a very tough, durable bag. CONS: The middle compartment (where you might keep things like your mp3 player, books etc) it not absolutely water-proof. I have used this bag while walking in very heavy rain, to find the papers inside slightly moist. The laptop compartment was dry, but if I had been out in rain for longer, I am sure the moisture would have crept in. I have used bags that handle rain much better. Overall, a great product.. DEFINITELY worth its cost.

This bag does just what it was designed for, plus most people don't realize I'm carrying a laptop. My laptop has been well protected through all types of weather and (I must admit) a few bumps and falls. It is the right size to be used as carry on luggage for flights, I have had no problems so far on planes. Carrying the bag is a breeze for the design makes it very comfortable on your back. Very strong material has been used on this bag, I give all my bags a rough time and this one has stood up to all my abuse going on at least six months now. The zippers are very good and have held up well to the overloading this bag takes. I would recommend this bag to anyone.
