Customer Reviews Great for the money August 13, 2008 Joseph Ruder (Belleville, IL)
I have several of these installed in customer machines. Not much to say -- they have worked flawlessly from word go. Documentation is a little sketchy and once you are through it and up and running I have not had *any* issues with these cards.

Spent several days trying to make a no name RAID board bought on Ebay work without success. This one went in with no trouble and I was up and runing within 15 minutes
Works with Vista April 13, 2007 Mr. K. Fusaris (London, U.K.) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Searched high and low for a PCI based SATA card that would definitively work with Vista. Though the Promise site doesn't make it entirely clear, this card works under Vista with the newest Windows driver available there. I'm quite pleased with the performance as well, though I haven't set it up for a RAID configuration. EDIT: I've recently discovered that this card does NOT work with my eSATA (external SATA) drive. This isn't a problem for me as the PC in question has SATA connectors on the motherboard that do work with eSATA, so I'm using those instead. Still I thought this information might be helpful to anyone looking to use this with an external SATA drive; apparently eSATA has some slightly different tolerances and therefore not all SATA hardware is eSATA compliant.
