I am the father of triplets. One of my daughters became attached to "Ms. Spam" at around 6 months. Believe me when I tell you this, Ms. Spam is a member of our family. It's indeed a great honor when my daughter relinquishes command of her Ms. Spam to anyone. With the cult like following of this little bundle of fluff, do we need to create a fan club? Wow, Piggie sure has charisma! Our daughter picked him out when she was only 10 or 11 months old, while visiting a Beanie Baby table at a car show, with her aunt and uncle. He has been her favorite ever since (his name--"Giggie"--was one of her first words), and yes, we are planning to buy a "backup Piggie" too, because we are so afraid he's going to get lost in a store or something! Like the other reviewers, I love the fact that he can be tossed into the washer with our ordinary laundry--although I have to do this when Vanessa isn't watching, or she'll have a fit! She is constantly smothering him with kisses--so it's a really good thing he's easy to keep clean. I noticed that, in almost every picture we have of Vanessa, there is Piggie in her arms! I very highly recommend this little guy to all parents.

I enjoyed reading the other two reviews. It was fun to hear that other little ones love this little stuffed pig as much as my 19 month old little girl. Catherine picked it out when we were on vacation last summer and it has been her constant companion ever since. Like the other two reviewers, I decided to order a second Piggy. We almost lost Piggy in Target the other day when she was asleep and I'm not sure what we would have done. Thank goodness for a 19 month old's good eye for her favorite stuffed animal and the kindness of a stranger seeing in on the ground and picking it up.

I agree with the other reviewer. My daughter received this as a small baby and I didn't think much of it at the time. About 2 years later, its the most beloved toy she has. I couldn't explain the appeal, but boy does she love it! We have also ordered a second since shes already loved it for a year and doesn't seem to be sick of it(such a small price to pay in case pig number 1 disappears). We have now ordered a bear like it for her brother. We'll see if he likes them as much.

I received this Ty pig as a baby shower gift. My son "discovered" it when he was 18 months old and it's his dearest companion besides his "night-night." Piggy must go for car rides, eat with him, get jammies on and go to the Dr. to have his temperature checked. We love Piggy because when he's covered with milky Cheerios, we can just throw him in the washer and dryer. He's good as new in about an hour. Who wouldn't love that? It's also a great toy for allergy sufferers because it can be thoroughly cleaned regularly to remove dust mites. We love it and my son loves it. Now we ordered a spare Piggy so that there is a Piggy substitute when Piggy is bathing. Enjoy your toddler!
